Since this happened to us a few days ago in Essen Spiel 2018, we figured we could try help others through this experience, by raising awareness. Being shocked and disappointed can only begin to describe it. You can imagine the frustration when someone comes around and steals a big part of what we've worked for, for so long. This is very important to us as we are a family indie publisher. Games are fun and we love interacting with the community.
Promote our work and hopefully make a profit. We really enjoy attending fairs because despite all the effort, stress and costs, they give us a chance to show the world what we do. Everything from the most important stuff to the smallest detail has to be planned for and scheduled months beforehand. You have to produce the games you are going to bring, design your booth, order services from the exhibition center, book flight and accommodation for your crew, find and train volunteers as well as a million other things that need to be organized flawlessly.
